By advertising online, your advert is available 24/7. The website is easy for guests to use, giving them the facility to make their searches as general or specific as they wish. It contains plenty of information about each region useful to holidaymakers and links directly to Brittany Ferries online bookings.

 

We continually invest in the website, in particular, auditing and enhancing its performance, adding new material and improving its design. We market the site principally through online advertising, pay per click campaigns and regular emails to our ever-growing database of prospective customers.

 

Your one-off annual advertising fee covers a one page web advertisement containing:

·          Headings

·          As much text as you wish

·          As much information on your property’s facilities as you wish

·          One main image plus a gallery of 6 further pictures

·          Rental and contact details, including a link to your own website if you have one plus our emailing facility (we do not publish owners’ email addresses to help prevent unwanted mails)

·          As many activity and service symbols as you need

·          Your availability calendar

·          Your personal recommendations of things to see and do in your area

·          Special offers

 

It also gives you and your guests access to the travel savings with Brittany Ferries, and to the owners area where you can update your availability calendar, edit your advert, check your enquiries and see how many page views your advert has received. We also offer advertisers a property swap notice-board, discount travel banners to put on their own website and the facility to sell last-minute availability via our RSS feed.

 

To place an advertisement from now until 31 December 2009 is £200 plus vat. To advertise until 31 December 2010 is £340 plus vat. Not everyone has access to the internet and some guests prefer to make their holiday selection from a brochure. The Holiday France Direct brochure is beautifully presented with information on each region of France - as well as Spain and Portugal – plus there is section on Brittany Ferries travel services.

 

There is a choice of advert sizes, the most popular being 1/8^th page. All advertisers booking both a brochure and a web advertisement receive a voucher for return travel with Brittany Ferries for £75 (nb conditions apply). Book for 2 years, and receive 2 of these £75 return crossings. Discounts are available for multiple adverts and we provide a loyalty discount starting from the second year of advertising.

 

On brochure launch in the autumn, we distribute it to previous and potential customers. It is advertised in the press, promoted in all our direct mailings and by our press office, and is stocked onboard Brittany Ferries’ ships. The brochure can also be obtained on a number of brochure ordering sites, via recommendation cards and of course can be ordered on both our own and Brittany Ferries’ websites.

 

Brochure adverts start from £200 plus vat. The pdf download here contains full details. To place an advert in the 2009 brochure, complete the form included in the download and forward it with your payment, images (emailed if you prefer) and proof of property ownership, eg, electricity bill.

An attractive, bright and clear image of your property does the selling for you! Whether for your web or your brochure advert:

·          Take your image on a bright day and from an attractive angle.

·          A landscape image generally works better than a portrait one.

·          Include the swimming pool if you have one and ensure garden furniture is attractively arranged.

·          On web adverts, include a selection of internal images. This gives prospective guests reassurance

·          If there are people in any of the images, we require their written consent to use the image.

·          Our artist can provide a watercolour illustration based on photographs and instructions for £50 plus vat (nb copyright remains with the artist).

·          Web images need to be at least 300 x 300 pixels

·          Brochure images need to be 300dpi, 90mm wide x 60mm high
